CRUSH IT in 2025 & Beyond!

December 29, 20243 min read

As we approach the new year, I wanted to follow up on my last article with a framework we could use for CRUSHING IT in life. Something we could reference from time to time to see how we're doing and to measure against.

As I stated last time, crushing it isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula. It’s not about checking boxes or forcing outcomes. It’s an art—a discovery process that looks different for everyone.

This framework takes that into account and is meant to help you navigate that discovery process as you create your art and crush it in life!

Here’s the framework, built around the acronym CRUSH IT:

C: Christ First

This is the foundation. If we gain the whole world but lose our soul, what have we truly gained? Putting Christ first—seeking the kingdom above all else—grounds everything else we do. If we seek first the Kingdom, everything we need will be provided for us. We will never feel like we're crushing it if we aren't putting Christ above all else.

R: Receive

This is counterintuitive in a world that prizes self-reliance. But the Christian message is clear: We don’t have to strive to earn what’s already freely given. We need to receive our identity, assignment, and salvation from God. If we never receive what He wants to give us, we will always feel like something is lacking.

U: Unleash

Once we’ve received, the next step is to unleash—to live fully as the person God created us to be. We unleash our gifts, identity, and purpose into the world—into our family, work, and every area of our lives. This isn’t about timid steps; it’s about bold, faith-filled action.

S: Serve Others

True greatness isn’t about serving ourselves. It’s about using what we’ve received and unleashed to serve those around us. Whether you’re a business owner, a nurse, a stay-at-home parent, or anything in between, ask yourself: How is what I’m doing improving the lives of others? Service is at the heart of crushing it.

H: Hope and Humility

Crushing it isn’t about being a guru or building a platform for your own glory. It’s about bringing hope to a world that desperately needs it with humility. It’s about sharing a message that lifts others up while staying grounded, remembering it’s not about us.

I: Invite Others

We weren’t created to do life alone. Crushing it means inviting others along on the journey. It’s about community, connection, and collaboration. Who are you bringing along? Who are you investing in, and who are you allowing to invest in you? Isolation isn’t the answer; connection is.

T: Trust God

Finally, trusting God for the outcome. Trusting God means surrendering control—letting go of the need to engineer outcomes and embracing the flow of His plan. Trust that He goes before you and knows what’s best.

This framework has helped me shift my mindset from striving to receiving, from forcing to flowing. It’s freed me to focus less on outcomes and more on obedience to the process God is inviting me into.

As we enter a new year, I’d encourage you to reflect on what crushing it looks like for you. In each area of your life—faith, relationships, health, work, finances, and time—what would it look like to:

Put Christ first?

Receive your identity and purpose?

Unleash your gifts?

Serve others?

Bring hope with humility?

Invite others along?

Trust God completely?

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. About living intentionally and allowing God to work through you.

So, let’s go into 2025 ready to crush it—not through force but through flow, not through striving but through receiving. Let’s step into the lives God has called us to live and trust Him for the outcome.

If this spoke to you, I’d love to hear about it. Share it with someone who needs it, and let’s crush it together. Here’s to a year of living fully, serving boldly, and trusting deeply.
